David H. Smith (Lebanon)'s Obituary
David Hoyt Smith was born September 19, 1942 in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Alvin and Estelle Kane Smith. He passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri. He was eighty-one years, eleven months and twenty-six days of age.
David was raised in New Jersey and following his schooling, he joined the United States Army where he proudly served. He was very patriotic and loved his country.
On April 19, 1985, he was united in marriage to Barbara Arliene Makuch.
He was employed with General Motors for over twenty years. In 2000, David retired and he and Barbara moved to Lebanon.
David was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his step-son, Joseph Seaman, Jr. and his wife, Betty Jo of Eldridge, Missouri; his grandson, Joseph Michael Seaman and a great-grandson, Hudson Seaman.
In his spare time, he enjoyed watching television and in particular, old war movies. He was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
