David Thompson's Obituary
David Paul Thompson was born October 10, 1974, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Joyce Marie and Steven Ray Thompson. David peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday November 05, 2009, at Lake Regional Hospital. David graduated from Camdenton High School in 1993. His greatest accomplishment is his daughter, Meagan Catherine. Professionally, David served in the position of General Manager of Bridal Cave in Camdenton, member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, member of the Camdenton Chamber of Commerce, and member of the Lake of the Ozarks Visitors and Convention Bureau. David was also the Chairman of the Public Relations Committee and Board Director for the National Cave Association and was an active member of the Missouri Cave Association. David served on the board of Kids Harbor, a children’s advocacy center in Camdenton. In addition to his many professional and charitable contributions, David was also a four-time champion of Water Wiffle Ball and an avid sports fan. David loved hunting and the outdoors. David is survived by his mother, Joyce Thompson of Climax Springs, Missouri; his father, Steven Thompson and wife Diane, and brother, Lucas, all of Springfield, Missouri; his daughter, Meagan; wife, Lindsey Webster, both of the home; brother, Shawn Thompson and wife Lindsay Meador of Orange, Massachusetts. David is also survived by his mother-in-law, Roxanna Webster and father-in-law, Michael Webster of Stoutland, Missouri, sister-in-law, Charlie Rose Webster of Springfield, Missouri and grandmother-in-law, Sharon Bryant of Richland, Missouri. Surviving paternal relatives include, uncle, Gary Thompson and wife Ellen of Osage Beach, Missouri; aunt, Sheryl Murdock and husband Rusty of Greenview, Missouri; uncle, Corey Thompson and wife Niki Dageenakis of Edmond, Oklahoma, and grandmother Joyce I. Thompson of Linn Creek, Missouri. Surviving maternal relatives include uncles, Lyle Leas and wife Maxine of Edwards, Missouri, Floyd “Buddy” Leas and wife Brenda of Grain Valley, Missouri, aunt, Linda Freeman and husband Ron of Climax Springs, Missouri, uncle, Robert Leas and wife Debbie of Climax Springs, Missouri, uncle, Roger Leas and wife Donna of Climax Springs, Missouri. David was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Norman Thompson and his maternal grandparents, O.C. “Bud” Leas and Doris I. Leas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday November 8, 2009 at the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home Camdenton. Visitation will begin at 12:00p.m. until time of service under the direction of the Allee Holman-Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri.
