We were given the privledge to be shepherded by Pastor West and Carol during their time at Stoutland Baptist Church. He truly lived each day trying to be the hands and feet of Christ to others and it showed! He had a burden and heart for the lost and was always ready to help
Others with any need. He was blessed with a wonderful family that he treasured and held drear. He baptized our youngest son Abram Stamper and left a genuine lasting impact On our lives. My heart is heavy for his family, but I know they and I will see him again soon. May God richly bless his family as they continue to see David West’s ripple continue to touch lives with Christ’s love.

My brother, David, passed away Saturday night. He was My Hero! David was drafted into the army when he was a young man. He served in Vietnam. When he came back our country treated our returning veterans as criminals. I never understood that! But to me he was a hero. He fought so I could live in a free country! I remember one time after he got back, I shut the bedroom door too hard. As it slammed shut, David hit the floor, thinking he was being shot at. I’ll never forget that day.
My biggest regret is, I never told him how proud I was of him for protecting me and our country! Ii never told him he was my Hero.
David, I know you can’t read this now, but somehow I know you know it and when Jesus calls me home, you will be at that Pearly Gate with Him to welcome me Home. I love and miss you brother!

It was my pleasure to work with David at Mercy Hospital Lebanon where he was a part of our Chaplain team for many years. He loved God, his family and people and it showed! He cared for everyone with the dignity and compassion they deserved. David will be missed, my prayer is that God wraps Carol, his children and grandchildren within His loving arms as they grieve this amazing man!

I have so, many Great Memories of my Dad David West. He was wonderful father and couldn’t ask for any better father. I am just blessed, that God gave him to us. He was a devoted follower of Christ and preached many years helping in the service of our Lord, winning lost souls. He was still preaching and witnessing to people even from his bed, the last days of his life. He was a perfect example of how Christ loves us and is our Heavenly Father, he love us as my earthly father. I will miss our talks. I called him every morning on my way to work. He always was there to listen to me, help me and give advice when I needed it. I know he is in heaven Jesus and all our friends and family that proceeded him. Love you dad and will see one day again in heaven!!

I’m David’s youngest brother. He was a man 🧍‍♂️ truly admired. He was a Vietnam veteran. A Hero in my eyes. He served our Country as a foot soldier in a war our country dishonored our returning Veterans! I will never understand this! I applaud him, all our returning veterans and those that gave their lives for our FREEDOM! David, rest in peace in your Heavenly home, with all your family, friends, and Veterans that have gone before you. Brother I will always Love and admirer you!!!
