David Lee Wilkerson (Seymour)'s Obituary
David Lee Wilkerson, age 76 of Seymour, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour following a short illness. He was born Wednesday, April 22, 1942 in Pomona, California, one of three children born to Howard Wilkerson and Margaret Ellen (Toland) Wilkerson. David was raised in Seymour and had been an over the road truck driver and cattle farmer and loved nothing more than caring for those baby calves. On May 4, 2004 he was united in marriage to Joanna Durham. He had been a Deacon at Harmony Baptist Church and he and Joanna had now been attending Fordland Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dean Wilkerson and two sons John Wilkerson and Hershel Wilkerson.
Surviving David is his wife Joanna of the home; 3 sons Barty Wilkerson of Seymour, Daniel Wilkerson and wife Irene of Douglas County, MO and Steven Wilkerson and wife Angie also of Douglas County, MO; 2 step sons Raymon Durham of Seymour and Sgt. 1st Class Robert Durham and wife Staci of Copperas Cove, TX; a sister Delores “DJ” Chastain and husband Terry of Douglas County, MO as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, other extended family and friends.
