He later went to Middle School in Fulton, MO. He went to the 9th grade. He worked for a tire shop in Columbia, MO for several years and later refinishing furniture. He loved it and was great at it. He then went to work at William Woods College as a security guard for 4 years. Dwayne loved going to yard sales and flea markets. He loved collecting old coins and antiques. Dwayne loved to go fishing, he said Bennett Springs was his favorite place to be. He loved driving there to take in its beauty, something he had done since he was a kid. He and his family would frequent there since his grandparents (John and Clara Jones) only lived 7 miles from the park in Windyville. Dwayne was the main caregiver with his sister, Carmen Krissinger, who took care of his parents for over five years until they passed. He liked watching tv, especially Westerns. He loved his chihuahua Bookie! She was always on his lap or near him. He enjoyed reading an assortment of various topics, especially on antiques. He met Fondera Dinwiddie in Springfield, MO. Of this Union of 18 years came two boys, John Lewis Garrison and Don Kent Garrison. They were his life, and he loved them fiercely. He was blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, Elenor, Gatlin and Olivia whom he adored. He loved his grandbabies so much he was constantly bugging his kids. He would say “what are they doing, send me pictures, bring me the kids, do they need anything?” Even the big kids would get texts, “Be happy. God is with you.” Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, Dorris Nadine Garrison and Donnald Kent Garrison and his brother, Don Kent Garrison. He is survived by Fondera Dinwiddie (boys’ mother); two sons, John Lewis Garrison & wife Alissa Garrison and Don Kent Garrison & wife Shelby Capps; three grandchildren, Eleanor Garrison, Gatlin Garrison and Olivia Garrison; two sisters, Doris Garrison and her two children, Victoria Ramirez (Alan) and Jonathan Cantu’, Carmen (Garrison) Cochran-Krissinger (Larry) and her four children, Mike Cochran, Scott Cochran (Tiffany), Leah (Cochran) Parsons (Matt), Phillip Krissinger (Emilee); niece, Misty (Summers) Joseph, and her four children, Martina, Loretta, Hank and George; six great nieces, four great-nephews and three great-great-nieces.
