Daxen Michael Jaynes (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Daxen “Dax” Michael Jaynes was born August 9, 2009 to Ryan Jaynes and Karissa Butcher. His life ended much too soon on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the age of fifteen years, five months and twenty-seven days.
Dax was born and raised in Lebanon, Missouri and was a freshman at Lebanon High School. He was on the Lebanon Freshman football team and played saxophone in the Lebanon High School band. He was proud to be a Yellowjacket and had many, many friends at school.
Dax is survived by his loving parents, his mother, Karissa Butcher and her husband Nathan of Lebanon, Missouri and his father, Ryan Jaynes of Lebanon, Missouri; his sister, Jadzia Jaynes of Lebanon, Missouri and his brother, Torias Jaynes of Lebanon, Missouri; his paternal grandparents, Steve and Linda Jaynes of Lebanon, Missouri; his maternal grandparents, David and Lynn Holt of Lebanon, Missouri; an aunt, Ashton Lewis and her husband Brandon of Lebanon, Missouri; His maternal great-grandparents: Sandy Musice, and Jerry & Debbie Musice, of Lebanon, Mo.: and a host of other family members and many, many friends.
Dax was a happy guy and had a beautiful smile. He loved playing football and put a lot of time and effort into training and playing the sport. He had dreams of one day playing for the Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers and his favorite team was the San Francisco 49’ers.
He also enjoyed playing music with the band and liked to listen to music. Dax and his family liked anything pertaining to Star Trek and his favorite series was The Next Generation. He loved playing Madden and College Football on the PS5, as well as Minecraft with his brother and sister and liked beating them at Mario Kart. He was a fun guy to be with and was known to cause mischief.
Dax will be remembered for being a very caring and compassionate young man. He will forever be missed and his memory will be cherished by his family and friends. We celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by an enduring commitment to his school and the Lebanon Yellowjackets and a profound love for his family.
Services for Daxen "Dax" Michael Jaynes will be Friday, February 14, 2025 at 10 a.m.at First Baptist Church, Lebanon.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, February 13, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial to Lebanon High School Football or the Lebanon High School Band has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home or mailed to: Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 320 S. Adams Ave., Lebanon, MO 65536.
