DaxLee "Bubba" Anderson (Urbana)'s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, DaxLee Claude “Bubba” Anderson. He was welcomed home into the arms of Jesus on Friday, September 26, 2025. Bubba was born at 6:03 pm on July 14, 2020, in Minot, North Dakota to eagerly waiting parents Christian and Juli (Hix) Anderson, and big sister Lively. Shortly after his arrival, the family moved to Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California. In 2023, the family made the move to the Hickory County/Macks Creek area. Bubba was in his first year of Pre-School at Skyline Schools. Bubba was in a word: extraordinary. His mind worked like none other. He was so smart, kind, selfless, analytical, trusting, and special in every way. He had a certain way of doing things, the “Bubba way”. He loved to play with his siblings and cousins and was a great friend to everyone. His favorite thing of all was to garden at Aunt Jaci’s house, helping her plant, check, and harvest. He always needed to check his garden to see “is this ready?!”, he needed to be sure. In the summer he loved swimming at MyMy’s pool and fishing at “the property” with Uncle Kyle. He enjoyed sneaking sips of Mommy’s coffee, doing anything with his dad, but specifically playing racing games. He loved playing with Kyler, doing anything that Kyler wanted, like making chicken and fish traps. Bubba would share even his brand-new gifts for “1,000 sleeps” with his best friend Kyler. Sissy would invite him along for everything, and he was always ecstatic to join, they are the best of friends and did everything together. He loved to chase and play with his little brother “Rig-a-lee.” Bubba enjoyed going to the library with Granny Mama, eating beef sticks and yogurt with Papa Doug, and playing at Aunt Liz’s house. Bubba also loved school; he was so smart, but never thought he was smarter than anyone else. We as a family, mourn the loss of our sweet Bubba, we hold close the assurance that he is safe in the garden of Heaven. Bubba was preceded by one uncle, Curtis Hix, maternal great grandparents, Claude and Pauline Rush, and Don and Thelma Bishop. He is survived by his parents, Christian and Juli Anderson, big sister, Lively, little brother, Riglee, grandparents; Johnny Hix, Nora Hix, Theresa Rush, Douglas and Dee Anderson, great grandma, Bessie May Hix, aunts and uncles; Jaci and Kyle Howard, Liz and Jeff Hartsock, Joni Kempker, Josh Lane, Doug and Autumn Anderson, and Mylee Hicks, best friend and cousin, Kyler Howard, as well as numerous other cousins, extended family and friends. Isaiah 40:11 “He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in this bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.”A time of visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Urbana, Missouri.
