Dean and Marilyn were gracious hosts during my trips to Missouri, shating their home, kindness and humor. I know Dean was a loving family man, a good father and a good friend. I don't think they make them like him anymore! God bless him! Sam##imported-begin##Sam Moore##imported-end##
I just learned of Dean's departure and felt a rush of sadness and loss for our world. Dean was a leader, with Marilyn in the beautiful Patterson clan. What a joy to know. What an encouragement to me as a young minister, just starting out. I love the memories of their warm home, complete with the smell of wood burning in the fireplace. Only eternity will be able to measure the many lives touched by Dean and Marilyn. I thank God for them. Love to each of the kids. I love you, Sid##imported-begin##Sid Allsbury##imported-end##
Hello, this is Jackie Rentz's granddaughter, Michelle. I just heard of Dean's death this afternoon and was so sad I could not make it to his services.
Dean was like a grandfather to me and I appreciate you sharing him with me. He taught me how to drive and gave me a love of history and politics.
When I heard he had passed, my heart was heavy because I hadn't seen him for a while. He was a very special part of my life and I will never forget my memories of his conservative converstaions, World War II stories and his faith.
My condolences to you all during this time of loss. He was an amazing man and his lessons will live with me forever.##imported-begin##Michelle Roberson Pointer##imported-end##
