Debbie Hanning's Obituary
Debbie Ann Hanning, daughter of Robert and Evelyn E. Dean Holmes, was born January 11, 1964, in Long Beach, California. She departed this life Wednesday, May 17, 2006, in her home, near Lynchburg, Missouri, at the age of forty-two years, four months, and six days. On October 11, 2003, she was united in marriage to Stanley R. Hanning, and together they shared the last two years. Her sister, Vivian Andrews, preceded her in death. Debbie is survived by her husband, Stanley, of the home; two daughters, Sarah and Cindy Munson, of the home; her parents, Robert and Evelyn Holmes, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Cathy Uder, of Lebanon, Missouri; five brothers, Kenny Holmes, and his wife, Pat, and Tam Holmes, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Scout Holmes, of Alexander, Georgia, Chris Holmes, and his wife, Rosemary, of the State of Michigan, and Robert Holmes, Jr., of the State of Virginia; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in California and was raised in Georgia. She then made her home in Missouri and North Carolina. After she and Stanley were married, they made their home in the Lynchburg community. Besides being a devoted homemaker and a loving mother, she also worked as a healthcare provider for various nursing homes in the area. Debbie attended the Pine Creek Baptist Church, near Lynchburg. She was a very caring person who was always willing to help anyone in need. In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors where she liked fishing and camping. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and doing ratch work. Her family was always the most important part of her life and she was especially close to her two daughters. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006, in Pine Creek Baptist Church, near Lynchburg. Burial will be in the Pine Creek Cemetery. Visitation willl be held Friday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorial contributions to Pine Creek Baptist Church Building Fund may be made through the funeral home.
