Deborah Sue Crawford (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Deborah Sue Crawford, daughter of Clarence and Barbara J. Groves Proctor, was born April 16, 1953, in Columbia, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, one month, and twenty-seven days.
On October 26, 2000, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Crawford, and they shared the last sixteen years.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Robert, of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Linder, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Lori Kittel, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, Karl Proctor, of Buffalo, Missouri, and Curtis Crawford, of Auxvasse, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Clarence Proctor, III, of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Kevin Proctor, of Pacific, Missouri; three sisters, Sheridan Britt, of Moberly, Missouri, Teena Stone, of Columbia, Missouri, and Shawnda Heisser, of the State of Iowa; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Columbia, Harrisburg, and Sturgeon, Missouri areas. In 1989, she attended nursing school in Beatrice, Nebraska, and graduated with Honors of Distinction and as valedictorian of her class as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She lived in Nebraska for several years, and then moved to Missouri. She had lived in the Lebanon area for the last seventeen years. She had worked at both Lebanon North and South Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers for several years.
In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors where she liked fishing and hunting on occasion. She enjoyed going to the race track, particularly NASCAR, and liked watching football in Nebraska. She also was a big fan of Elvis Presley. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Deborah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
