Deborah "Debbie" Owens (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Deborah “Debbie” Jane Owens, daughter of the late Angie Klapp was born on October 18, 1958 in Lebanon, MO and departed this life on April 9, 2020 at her home near Elkland, MO. At the time of her passing she was 61 years, 5 months, and 20 days of age.
Debbie was reared and attended school in Long Lane and Buffalo, MO. After her schooling she was united in marriage to Richard Owens on April 17, 1976 and to this union three boys were born, all of whom survive her. She worked at the Mallory Elementary School in the Cafeteria for many years, working her way up to the Head Cook. She loved her job and seeing the kids she served every day. She enjoyed making crafts, was an excellent cook, and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Southern Baptist Church.
Debbie was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, Larry Klapp. She is survived by her husband Richard of the home; three sons, Tony Owens, Tracy Owens, and Travis & wife Danielle Owens; three brothers, James & wife Nancy Klapp; Ray Dean & wife Marilyn Klapp, and Robert & wife Peggy Smith; one sister, Terry & husband J. R. Dryer; six grandchildren, Devin, Brionna, Dylan, Drake, Dakota, and Adalynn; and one little boy named Hunter. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends who will all truly miss her.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2020 in the Center Point Cemetery with Bro. Cliff Long officiating. Escorts will be Tony Owens, Tracy Owens, Travis Owens, Devin Owens, Dillon Owens, and Drake Owens. Honorary escorts will be Troy Polston and James Klapp. Friends may call on Friday until 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
