She lived the first part of her life with Jessie and Clyde King in Lebanon. At the age of nine, she was given the choice to stay in Missouri or move to Galveston, Texas to live with her mother. She chose to be with her mom, but made many trips back to Missouri for visits. She graduated from Ball High School, and then made her home in Friendswood, Texas for a number of years. She was employed by Singer Link, a branch of NASA for fourteen years. In 1991, she moved back to Lebanon, made her home and lovingly raised her daughters. She worked for Diane’s cleaning/Service Master for a number of years, and then opened her own cleaning service, Dusty Maids.
She enjoyed going to casinos, and liked watching her favorite television program, Wheel of Fortune, and playing card games. She enjoyed going out to eat and she particularly liked barbeque. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and working in her garden. She was a compassionate person who was always thinking of others. She possessed an ornery sense of humor and loved to laugh. Her family meant the world to her and she loved having them around her.
