Della Ann Sage (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Della Ann Sage, formally mayor of Stoutland, Missouri for fourteen years, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025 in Windsor Estates in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years, four months and twelve days.
Della was born November 19, 1942 in Stoutland, Missouri to Raymond and Lena M. Avery Archer. She was raised in Stoutland and graduated from Stoutland High School.
On September 15, 1962, Della was united in marriage to James D. Sage and to this union two children were born, Troy and Janine.
Della is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lena Archer; and her loving husband of nearly forty years, James.
She is survived by her son, Troy Sage of Osage Beach, Missouri; one daughter, Janine Edwards of Arkansas; two grandchildren, Morgan Yoder and Scott Edwards; two great-grandchildren, Madelynn Yoder and Lincoln Yoder; two sisters, Dorothy Hanks of Ozark, Missouri and Lula Harrington of Arkansas; one brother, Donald Archer of Camdenton, Missouri; and other family members and friends.
Della had a long, twenty-five year career as a seamstress at H.D. Lee Company . She enjoyed her time there and made many friends she remained in contact with.
She was very active in the Stoutland Community, especially the Stoutland Senior Center, and was very proud of the Stoutland community. She served as mayor of the town for fourteen years.
Della was a member of New Beginnings Church in Stoutland.
Della’s life revolved around her family. She loved them very much and enjoyed the time they had together at get-togethers and holiday celebrations. She also was fond of her dogs, Teisha and Sony, as they provided good companionship for her.
Della will leave a legacy of being a hardworking lady who cared about her family and community very much. She was always supportive of her family and loved ones and was present in their lives in a meaningful way. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and know her family and friends will treasure the memories they have with her.
Funeral service for Della Sage will be Friday, April 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Stoutland Cemetery. A memorial to the Stoutland Senior Center has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
