Dennis Dean Blankenship (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Dennis Dean Blankenship, son of Darrell D. and Irene P. Bingham Blankenship, was born September 30, 1952, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, September 17, 2010, in his home, near Falcon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, eleven months, and seventeen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gary N. and Danny R. Blankenship.
Dennis is survived by a daughter, Monja Blankenship, of Lebanon, Missouri; four sons, Bradley D., Jared, Derek, and Devin Blankenship, all of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Randy L. and Terry L. Blankenship, both of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Brenda Webb, and her husband, Kent, of Burden, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Sherry Byrd, of Falcon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Lebanon and was raised in the Falcon community, where he continued to live for most of his life. Throughout the years, Dennis had worked at Bass Tracker, H. D. Lee Company, and the Special Road District.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He also liked watching wrestling on television, listening to music of all kinds, but particularly country, and playing with his dog, “Bessie”. He enjoyed talking with his friends on the C.B. radio where he was known by the handle, “Hunch Back”. He especially liked having fish fries with his family and friends.
Dennis was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the memories he made for them throughout the years.
