Dennis James Fritz's Obituary
ennis James Fritz, son of Francis Jacob and Helen Bertha Maurer Fritz, was born January 26, 1947, in Fredericksburg, Texas. He departed this life Thursday, April 10, 2008, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, two months, and fourteen days. His father preceded him in death. Dennis is survived by a daughter, Shawling Rediker, of the State of Florida; his mother, Helen B. Fritz, of Harper, Texas; three brothers, Keith Fritz, and his wife, Melissa, of Stoutland, Missouri, Kenneth Fritz, and his wife, Cheryl, of Kerrville, Texas, and Terrell Fritz, and his wife, Michelle, of Fredericksburg, Texas; eight sisters, Joyce Rowald, and her husband, John, of San Angelo, Texas, Barbara Roeder, and her husband, Roger, and Loraine Parsons, and her husband, Mo, all of San Antonio, Texas, Jeanette Waller, and her husband, Herb, of Grapevine, Texas, Bernadine Dittmar, and her husband, Bob, Genevieve Thomas, and her husband, Allan Massey, and Meliss Machen, and her husband, Bill, all of Kerrville, Texas, and Romona Fritz, of Harper, Texas; a number of nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was raised in Morris Ranch, Texas and then moved to Fredericksburg where he graduated from high school and St. Mary’s Seminary College. He served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force from 1970 until 1975, and was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant. For the next several years, he worked in civil service doing contract labor as a logistics supervisor in various places around the world. He later made his home in San Antonio, Texas before moving to Lebanon, Missouri about two years ago. Dennis was raised in the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lebanon. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, gardening, and photography. He also liked visiting with his family at Monroe Estates. Dennis was a loving family man, a patriotic citizen, and a good friend. We celebrate his life and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in Fredricksburg, Texas. Visitation will follow the service. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
