Dennis Janssen (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Dennis Janssen, 79, of Humansville, MO passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Big Springs Care Facility in Bolivar, MO.
Dennis was born May 12, 1939 in Stanton, NE to Walter and Alvina Ball Janssen. Dennis was very proud to follow in his father’s footsteps and make a career as a Safeway truck driver. He would later become a driver for Associated Grocer’s, and retired after over four decades on the road.
When not on the road, Dennis loved the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time on the farm, whether he was with his horses or producing horsepower for the next tractor pull. Dennis enjoyed what he called the simple life. He loved his family, his farm, and Ford. He was a genuine, kind man who will be dearly missed.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Kathy Stanley and husband Doug, and his son, Dave Janssen and wife Rhonda. He is also survived by his step-children: Jerry Brown and wife Janet, Gary Brown, Rick Brown, and Tammy Brown, as well as three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, his sisters Sandy Rasa and Karen Garrett, and one very special person, Darlene Witt.
Services for Dennis Janssen will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 2 PM at the Butler Funeral Home in Humansville, MO. Visitation will be held an hour prior.
