Dennis Wayne Letterman (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Dennis Wayne Letterman, son of Floyd Ivan and Patricia Louise Gordon Letterman, was born November 29, 1957, in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life May 12, 2019, at his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, five months, and thirteen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandfather, Lew Gordon; and a brother, Rex Letterman.
Dennis is survived by a daughter, Michelle Bates, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Alan Wayne Letterman, of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Tyler Bates, and Allie Bates and Isaiah Howe, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Elliott and Everly; a nephew, Justin Letterman, of the State of Oklahoma; a niece, Misty Letterman, of the State of Oklahoma; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Southwest Missouri and then joined the military as a young man. He served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps for a few years. He then made his home in the Lebanon area and worked in construction and drove a truck for a number of years.
He enjoyed doing woodworking projects, and was active in Alcoholics Anonymous. He liked hunting, fishing and building model cars. His family was very dear to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
