Dennis McNealy's Obituary
Dennis Lee McNealy, son of Jesse and Grace O’Dell McNealy, was born July 15, 1935 in Hartville, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, August 19, 2009 in his home near Mansfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-four years, one month, and four days.
On December 23, 1956, he was united in marriage to Sharon Dixon and to this union one daughter was born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife Sharon of the home; his daughter, Becky Borders and husband Ed of Ringwood, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Crystal Compton and husband Theron, Angela and Caitlin Borders, all of Alva, Oklahoma; two sisters, Charlene Austin and husband Virgil and Ailene Lemons, all of Hartville, Missouri; his mother-in-law, Wauline Dixon of Mansfield, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Dennis was raised in Hartville and graduated from Hartville High School, and moved to Mansfield after his marriage to Sharon. He worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation, retiring after thirty-two years of service.
Dennis had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of the Mansfield First Baptist Church.
Dennis enjoyed being a farmer, and in his spare time he liked raising and running his dogs as well as hunting. Dennis loved his family and treasured the time spent with his grandchildren.
Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009 in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Mansfield, Missouri. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Visitaion will be from 7-8:00 p.m. Friday evening in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Mansfield First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home at PO Box 199, Mansfield, Missouri 65704. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield.
