Dennis Dean Trauffer (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Dennis Dean Trauffer, son of Peter and Frances Scharrar Trauffer, was born August 28, 1941, in Moline, Illinois. He departed this life Wednesday, December 18, 2019, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, three months, and twenty days.
On January 2, 1960, he was united in marriage to Juanita M. Andersen, and to this union one daughter was born.
His parents preceded him in death.
Dennis is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Juanita, of the home; a daughter Christine Allison, and her husband, Jim, of Lebanon, Missouri; a granddaughter, Sarah; a sister, Sue Polich, of the State of Oregon; a brother, Robert "Bob" Trauffer, of Davenport, Iowa, a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in Davenport, Iowa, and graduated from high school there. He then attended Iowa State University for one year. After he and Juanita were married, they first made their home in Iowa, and then moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area in 1969. Dennis owned the Holiday Construction Company for several years. The family moved to Lebanon in 2003, and made their home.
In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf and was fascinated by electronics. He was a very generous and kind man. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his granddaughter.
Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
All services for Dennis Dean Trauffer will be private and under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
