Deryl W Lilley (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Deryl Wayne Lilley, son of the late Maynard and Lucille (Slack) Lilley, was born on May 29, 1941 in Foose, MO, and departed this life on September 9, 2017 at his home in Buffalo, MO surrounded by his family. At the time of his passing he was 76 years, 3 months, and 9 days of age.
Deryl was reared and attended school in the Buffalo, MO area and graduated from Buffalo High School. After graduation he went to work doing road construction. He was united in marriage to Nancy Thomas on June 12, 1960 in Buffalo, MO, and to this union two daughters were born, both of whom survive him. They made their home in Springfield where he worked for Hormel Packing before going to work at Ramey Super Market as a Meat Cutter. He worked for Ramey for over 30 years, before retiring in 2000. Deryl enjoyed bowling, classic cars, and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed going on vacation with Nancy. He was saved and baptized at an early age, and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
Deryl was preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Brandel Floyd; and one grandson, Brandon Gardner. He is survived by his wife Nancy of the home; two daughters, Lisa Floyd of Buffalo, MO and Carrie Knapp and husband Randy of Long Lane, MO; one brother, LeRoy Lilley and wife Carol Ann of Springfield, MO; one sister, Sue Smith of Springfield, MO; two grandchildren, Michael & wife Sara Gardner of Buffalo, MO and Kristin Prock and husband Cody of Lebanon, MO; and three great-grandchildren, Kynley Garnder, Reece Gardner, and Lucas Prock. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him.
