Devin James Inglis (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Devin James Inglis, 31, of Bolivar, passed away Sunday July 22, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Devin was born April 20, 1993, To The Late Dennis Inglis and Theresa Adams. He was a 2011 graduate of Bolivar High School, where he played football through his junior year. Devin was a member of FFA all 4 years of high school.
Devin was a member of Lakeside Assembly in Pittsburg Mo. Where he was saved at the age of 12. And baptized in Lake Pomme De Terre with his grandma Wanda right there in the lake beside him.
After graduation he worked for a fiber optics company for a while before heading to North Dakota with his dad, Dennis, and working in the oil field industry. Devin later acquired his CDL license and alongside his dad, drove as an over the road truck driver.
Devin enjoyed time spent with all his family but some of his favorite moments were riding dirt bikes, 4 wheelers and motorcycles with his dad Dennis and his Uncle Darrin. They often went to ride the sand dunes in Waynoka, Oklahoma.
When deer season arrived, you could find Devin at deer camp with his dad, Uncle Darrin and other friends and family.
Devin had a close bond with his grandma Wanda, the two were best buddies, and always on the go together, whether it be pontooning down at the lake, riding the tube, or pulling his dad skiing. He loved riding around the neighborhood on a scooter or bicycles, Wanda often pulling a cart behind her bike with Devin in it.
She took him to church and taught him how important it was to pray and to love Jesus.
Later on in years, Devin frequently drove his grandma around running errands as Wanda’s eyesight deteriorated over time. She was not only his grandma, she was one of his very best friends.
Devin is survived by his mother Theresa Adams-Baker and step-father Scott Baker, 2 sisters Alley Charlize and Samantha Jordin Riley Baker, Devin was excited for the arrival of both sisters, before Sammie was born he went to mom and asked if one of Sammies middle names could be Jordin, So Devin got to name his little sister. He is also survived by His son Dracen Lane Inglis, who he loved with all of his heart, Aunts and Uncles Darrin Inglis (Abby), Alma Lindsay and Uncle Matt, Lisa Scott, Donnie Scott (Rebecca).
Grandparents Curtis and Joann Adams, and Uncle John Adams.
Cousins, Dani and Denny Inglis, Payten Lindsay, Derek and Sierra Scott and Billy and Gracie Martin, Collin and Charla Scott and a host of Great-Aunts, Uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.
Devin was proceeded in death by his father Dennis Inglis his grandparents Denny and Wanda Inglis, and grandmother Charla Mae Scott.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 1:45 PM on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Mt. View Cemetery in Polk, Missouri.
