Diana Sue Rhodes (Hartville)'s Obituary
Diana Sue Rhodes, daughter of Orville William and Martha Ann Skaggs Volner, was born June 12, 1956 in Springfield, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, July 22, 2016 in her home, at the age of sixty years, one month, and ten days.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Benny, Elmer, and Homer Volner.
She is survived by her children: Kevin Lamb and wife Christina, of Bogalusa, Louisiana, Virginia Gray and husband Mike, of Joplin, Missouri, and Tiffany Hughes and husband Randall, of Hartville, Missouri; her grandchildren: Philisha, Michael, Mashayla, Angellina, Tyler, Katie, Dalton, Gage, and Peyton; great-grandchildren: Awstyn, Serenity, Chrisallina, Andrew,and Skarlytt; her siblings: Ulas Volner and wife Geraldine, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Bulas Volner of Hartville, Missouri, Ethel Massey of Kooskia, Idaho, Dixie Moore and husband Ronnie, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Lee Volner and wife Sharon, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Shirley Crossland and husband Shorty, of Hartville, Missouri, Darlene Lambert of Rock Port, Missouri, Freida Hedings of West Plains, Missouri, Linda Lamb and husband Michael, of New Concord, Kentucky, Ray Volner and Becky, of Hartville, Missouri, Phyllis Parsons and husband Frankie, of Hartville, Missouri, and Daniel Volner of Hartville; her significant other, Junior Barnes, of Macomb, Missouri; a number of nieces, nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Diana devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and the time spent with them was something she truly cherished. She was an avid outdoorswoman and loved to spend time tending to her garden, fishing, camping, bird watching, and soaking up the sun. She devoted her life to Christ early in her adult life. Diana also enjoyed working word search puzzles, watching TV, listening to country music, and the sweet taste of Crackle Barrel’s apple butter.
Diana was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
