Dianne Downing's Obituary
Dianne Lea Downing, daughter of Jerry W. Hunter, Sr. and Mary Paula Hunter, was born May 11, 1958, at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. She departed this life Monday, May 29, 2006, in her home near Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of forty-eight years, and eleven days. On February 25, 1989 in Bible Baptist Church in Camdenton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Larry Edward Downing, and together they shared the last seventeen years. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Ethel Hunter; and three uncles, J. Bill, Robert, and Johnny Hunter. Dianne is survived by her husband, Larry, of the home; her parents, Jerry and Mary Hunter, of Harrisburg, Missouri; three brothers, Butch Hunter, of Cisco, Texas, J. D. Hunter, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Rob Kent II, of Columbia, Missouri; three nephews, Jacob Hunter, of Fort Worth, Texas, Tyler and Zachary Hunter, both of Osage Beach, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in Alaska and was raised in Camdenton, Missouri, where she graduated from Camdenton High School in the Class of 1976. She was a member of the Distributive Education Club of America during her Junior and Senior years of high school. She worked for Electrovert (Speedline Technologies) for fourteen years and then later for Kinnard Chiropractic as a clerical worker. After she and Larry were married, they made their home in the Camdenton area. Dianne had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Camdenton. She loved going to church to be fed God’s word and His love for her. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her flower garden and collecting teddy bears. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed being a part of family gatherings. Dianne was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2006, in the Bible Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hugo Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
