Dollie Engelson (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Winona Adeline “Dollie” Engelson, daughter of Clifford Edwin and Geraldine Adeline Olmsted Stegman, was born, March 27, 1936 in Tilden, Nebraska. She departed this life, Saturday, January 18, 2014, in her home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-seven years, nine months and twenty-two days.
On December 15, 1956 in Yankton, South Dakota, she was united in marriage to Ole Dean Engelson and to this union two sons were born. Together they shared fifty-seven years of marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Ole Engelson of the home; two sons, Ole S. Engelson and wife Sheilah of Spotsylvania, Virginia and Ben Engelson of Camdenton, Missouri; three granddaughters, Cassie Nichole Dulaney, Jacquelyn Marie Johnston and Erika Marie Engleson; a great-grandson, Wyatt Jude Dulaney and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Dollie was raised in Nebraska and was a graduate of Nelson High School in Nelson, Nebraska. She received and Associates of Arts in Education from Kearney State University and taught school for several years. In 1967, the family moved to Camdenton where her focus was being a homemaker.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Nebraska.
In her spare time, she enjoyed bird watching. She was a collector and loved collecting coins, stamps, miniature dishes, spoons, thimbles and owls.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
