Dollie Edna Frank (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Dollie Edna Frank, daughter of Arthur Preston and Emma Mollisa Davidson Goans, was born January 8, 1921, near Weaubleau, in Hickory County, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, September 21, 2015, in Webco Manor, in Marshfield, Missouri, at the age of ninety-four years, eight months, and thirteen days.
On January 31, 1943, she was united in marriage to John Farmer Hamilton Frank, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, on March 27, 2010; a son-in-law, Jerry Story; five brothers, Claude, Azel, Jason, Fred, and Bob; and two sisters, Josie, and Daisy.
Dollie is survived by two daughters, Edith Clark, and her husband, Coyl, of Eldridge, Missouri, and Elizabeth Story, of Mesa, Arizona; a son, Lee Frank, and his wife, Susan, of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren, LeeSa Geelhood, of Mesa, Arizona, Darin Clark, of the State of Texas, Heather Rothery, of Germany, Christy Douglass, of the State of Colorado, Karla Black, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Melissa Richards, of Lebanon, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Pearl Hickling, of Winston/Salem, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Weaubleau and Preston communities in Hickory County, Missouri. She then came to Lebanon, Missouri, where she graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1941. After she and John were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area and lovingly raised their children. Dollie was always a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and also worked in child care throughout the years.
Dollie had professed her faith in Christ and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and loved working puzzles and word games. She always put her family central in her life and loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed caring for her family and her home.
Dollie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her ninety-four years.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and left at the funeral home.
