Dolores Cretton (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Dolores Lillian Cretton, daughter of Thomas and Jennie Gregory Standbridge, was born, March 23, 1932 in West Eaton, Pennsylvania. She departed this life, Monday, February 25, 2013, in Windsor Estates Care Center, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of eighty years, eleven months and two days.
In April of 1951, she was united in marriage to William Other Cretton and to this union four children were born. Together they shared thirty-four years of marriage before his passing on February 25, 1986.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, William M. Cretton; a sister, Jean Buhrke and a brother, Thomas M. Standbridge, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Dumont J. “Duke” Cretton and wife Susan of Eldridge, Missouri, Louise Battinus of Round Lake, Illinois, Dorice Clark of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Kay Standbridge of Los Lunas, New Mexico and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Dolores was raised in Chicago. After her marriage they made their home in Niagara, Wisconsin for ten years. They later moved back to Chicago. In 1969, they settled in the Lake of the Ozarks area.
Dolores made a profession of faith and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church (MO Synod) in Greenview, Missouri.
Her family was her life and she enjoyed time spent with them.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Hospice and left at the funeral home.
