Dolores Faye Cutbirth (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Dolores Faye (Durrington) Cutbirth, daughter of Everett Durrington and the late Anna (Stark) Durrington was born on April 6, 1957 in Wichita, KS and departed this life on August 14, 2021 in Lee’s Summit, MO. At the time of her passing she was 64 years, four months, and seven days of age.
Dolores attended school in Independence, MO. She graduated from Jenny Lund School of Nursing in 1983 and went on to work at Independence Regional Hospital, Kansas City Cancer Center, and Hermitage Nursing where she retired in 2016. Dolores enjoyed crafting, sewing, crocheting, and making ceramic dolls, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie; her mother; her grandmother, Blanche Hodges; her stepmother, Patsy Durrington; and her great-granddaughter, Paisley Kincaid. She is survived by her children, Brian Gennings and fiancé Michelle Wilson of Independence, MO, Sabrina and husband Travis Stoner of Independence, MO, Mike Cutbirth, Joe and wife Nikki Cutbirth, and Carrie and husband Stanley Gregory; her two brothers, Doug and wife Pam Durrington of Springfield, MO and Greg and wife Brenda Durrington of Springfield, MO; one sister, Cathy Smith of Independence, MO; her grandchildren, Stephanie and husband David Aldridge, Brittany (Chris) Bailey, Cody Cutbirth, Chelsey Sloan, Joey, Jordan and Brian Jr. Gennings, Angelica Kincaid, Tyler McDaniel, and Jenna and Gage Gregory; great-grandchildren, Kailey Swearengin, Gavyn Aldridge, Zoey and Ayden Sloan, Sophia, Waylon, and Emily Gennings, and Paityn, Mason, and Nash Kincaid. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends who will all truly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Bushnell officiating. Escorts will be Brian Gennings, Brian Gennings, Jr., Jordan Gennings, Joey Gennings, Tyler McDaniel, Travis Stoner, and David Aldridge. Interment will be in the Mission Ridge Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help with funeral expenses.
