Donald Condon (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Donald Condon, son of Edward Thomas and Elma Ruth Letcher Condon, was born June 12, 1938, in Dover, New Jersey. He departed this life Thursday, January 19, 2017, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, seven months, and seven days.
On November 18, 1993, he was united in marriage to Margaret Kathleen Arnold, and they shared the last twenty-three years.
His parents preceded him in death.
Donald is survived by his wife, Margaret, of the home; a daughter, Marie Gist, and her husband, Gary, of Van Buren, Arkansas; three sons, Randy Condon, of Harrison, Arkansas, Ricky Condon, and Dennis Kincaid, of Lebanon, Missouri;
Five grandchildren, Samantha, Tabatha, Shawn, Melissa, and Shawna; two great-grandchildren, Iya, and Damen; two brothers, Joe and Edward Condon, both of the State of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Dover, New Jersey, and graduated from high school there. He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force for four years, and then joined the United States Army where he served for twenty years. He was part of the artillery and chemical warfare team during his tours of duty. He then made his home in Missouri for the last several years.
Donald was raised in the Methodist faith and had established his own personal relationship with his Lord and Savior. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He liked raising chickens and ducks and having fresh eggs. He was good at carpentry work and liked to build things. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. There are no services scheduled at this time.
