Donald Cumper's Obituary
Donald Lee Cumper, son of Henry Junior and Trilby Bell Cumper, was born August 29, 1951, in Camdenton, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, January 13, 2010, in his home at the age of fifty-eight years, four months and fifteen days. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, John Henry Cumper. Survivors include his mother, Trilby Looney; his brother, Ronald Gene “Beard” Cumper and his companion, Doris Bell, all of Camdenton, Missouri; and other relatives and many friends. Donald was a life-long Camden County resident. He was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the Class of 1970. He served his country in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam Era. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Camdenton and worked for Turner Contracting laying long-distance lines for AT&T. He began a career with the City of Camdenton as a heavy equipment operator which spanned over twenty-five years. He was a member of the American Legion Zack Wheat Post #624 in Sunrise Beach, Missouri. Donald was an avid outdoors man and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a football fan. He loved his pet, Louie P. Cockatiel with whom he spent countless hours. He was a loving son, brother, companion and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. He created many memories for his family and friends to cherish. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday January 15, 2010 at the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Visitation will begian at 10:00 a.m. until time of service under the direction of the Alle-Holman-Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri. Return to top
