Donald Eugene Heller's Obituary
Donald Eugene Heller, son of Leroy and Helen Heller, was born October 8, 1935, in Adams County, Pennsylvania. He departed this life Sunday, April 29, 2007, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, six months, and twenty-one days. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, John; and a sister, Miriam. Donald is survived by three sons, David Heller, and Barry Heller, both of Lebanon, Missouri, and Randy Heller, of the State of New Mexico; his mother, Helen Heller, of the State of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Glen and James Heller, both of the State of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Kay Reeder, and Jean Keller, both of the State of Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and graduated from high school there. He served in the United States Navy for a few years, and then in the United States Army until being honorably discharged on February 28, 1962. After his time in the military, he moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and made his home. He worked for the Durham Company in Lebanon for thirty-six years before retiring in 2003. Donald followed the Baptist faith throughout his life. He was an active member of the Lebanon Moose Lodge # 753 for many years. In his spare time he liked being outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and taking care of his yard. He was a very caring person with a lot of energy and drive. Donald will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery, near Oakland, Missouri. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
