Donald Grimes' Obituary
Donald Eugene Grimes, son of Lawrence and Beulah Reed Grimes, was born December 20, 1948, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, January 6, 2009, in Christian Health Care North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty years, and sixteen days. His father, and a son, Donald L. Grimes, preceded him in death. Donald is survived by his mother, Beulah Reeves, and her husband, Leslie, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Pauletta Rogers, and her husband, Rick, of Lebanon, Missouri; two nephews, Jimmy and Dustin Rogers; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1966. He worked for a time at the H. D. Lee Company. He later worked as a welder for the True Gun All Company and as an engineer for Detroit Tool Company. Donald was a true outdoorsman and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked going to garage sales and barbeques and was gifted at working on things, especially doing gunsmith work and crafts. He had a kind heart and was a very helpful person, always doing things for others. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Donald was a loving son, brother, uncle, and nephew, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday January 10, 2009 at Holman- Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Memorial Park. Visitation is Friday Evening 7-8:30 pm under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
