Donald E Harris (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Donald Edward Harris 72 of Bolivar passed away Thursday evening on July 18, 2013 at Citizens Memorial Hospital. Donald was born on August 10, 1940 in Springfield, MO the son of Ira Harris and Lucinda (Phillips) Harris.
Don was known for working at the local school district driving a school bus for at least three generations. After 55 years of employment at Rains Ice House and School Bus Service, Don decided to retire in 2008. His favorite things to do were hunting, fishing, and watching John Wayne movies or anything to do with his boys. John Wayne was Don’s American Hero. He influenced the lives of many children, friends, and family during his life time.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; Roy Harris, Bert Harris, Estel Harris, Kenneth Harris, Berlin Harris and Doyle Harris.
He is survived by one sister; Emma Harris Garmelo of the state of Missouri, one brother; Arlie Harris of Kansas City, MO. His extended family; Bill and Pauline Ethridge, Leonard and Priscilla Ethridge, Wayne and Mary Ethridge, George and Desi Akins, Calvin and Janice Burnett, and George Akins Jr. Also a host of other relatives and many friends.
