Donald Lane's Obituary
Donald L. Lane, son of Robert J. and Velma Agnes Woods Webb, was born October 13, 1919, in Humansville, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Pershing Memorial Hospital, in Brookfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-seven years, four months, and twenty-three days. He and Brenda were united in marriage on October 23, 1950, in the State of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Brenda; a step-daughter, Anna Mae Wetzel; three brothers; and four sisters. Donald is survived by a son, Gary Webb, of the Philippines; two grandchildren, Jody Meek, and her husband, Scott, of Meadville, Missouri, and Marvin Murdock, and his wife, Yvonne, of West Branch, Michigan; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley, Colby, Andrew, Jayme, Chassity, Tiffany, Jonathon, and Jessica; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Missouri, and was raised in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa. He lived most of his adult years in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he worked as a farmer. About thirteen years ago, he made his home in the Lake of the Ozarks area, and then recently moved to Brookfield, Missouri because of his health. Donald was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2007, in Murdoch-Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Memorials to the Lifecare Center of Brookfield (Activity Department) may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
