Donald Lewis (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Donald Gordon Lewis, son of Homer Jack and Daisy Marie Little Lewis, was born November 9, 1946, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, December 19, 2012, in St. Luke’s Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of sixty-six years, one month, and ten days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Richard, Clifford, John, and Robert; and a sister, Betty.
Donald is survived by two daughters, Denise and Lisa; three sons, Michael Sheets, Ronald Lewis, and Jack Lewis; two step-children; several grandchildren; a brother, Jack Lewis, and his wife, Wilma, of Lebanon, Missouri; four sisters, Helen Duke, and her husband, Bob, of Sanford, Florida, Mary Officer, and her husband, Dale, of Lebanon, Missouri, Pat Jones, and her husband, Ron, of Grovespring, Missouri, and Teresa Petracek, and her husband, Vince, of St. Louis, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, and attended Upper O’Dell School. He then made his home in Texas for a time before moving to Springfield, Missouri. Throughout the years, he had worked in the roofing business. He had recently made his home in St. Louis, Missouri.
Donald had established his own personal relationship with his Lord and Savior and enjoyed reading his Bible.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activity was fishing. He had a fascination with eagles and liked collecting anything that had to do with eagles. He possessed a delightful sense of humor and was always the life of the party, often playing the part of a comedian.
Donald will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
