Donald Eugene Schmied (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Donald Eugene Schmied, son of Donald and Carol Schmied was born on April 1, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on May 22, 2021 near Elkland, MO. At the time of his passing he was 58 years and 21 days of age.
Donald graduated from Buffalo High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. After his time in the service, he started driving a truck and later started his own company, Don’s Trucking. He was known as a jack of all trades and enjoyed helping people fix anything. Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Donald is survived by his wife Roberta of the home; his children, Chester Schmied of Buffalo, MO, Kristina Schmied of Buffalo, MO, Donald and wife Katie Schmied of Whiteman Airforce Base, and Heidi Schmied of Linn Creek, MO; his parents, Donald and Carol Schmied of Elkland, MO; ten grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Michael, and Taylor Schmied, Ollie Castonguay, Alyssa and Mckinley Schmied, and Jaylee, Harper, and Bristol Jones; one great-grandson, Josiah Schmied; two brothers, Craig Schmied of Halfway, MO and Derrick Schmied of Elkland, MO; and one sister, Donna Curtsinger of Golden City, MO. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him.
Cremation rites were accorded under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
