Donald E. Williams (Seymour)'s Obituary
Donald Eugene Williams, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend passed to be with our heavenly father on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Born in Elwood City, PA on November 23, 1933, Don lived a full and enriched life which he consistently dedicated to the betterment of the lives of those he cherished.
Among the abundant, indelible qualities that those fortunate enough to know Don will dearly miss, is his unwavering and sincere good nature. As the owner of Keystone Auto in Seymour, MO, Don didn’t just see his business as a way to make a living, but rather, viewed it as a means by which he could connect with the community by demonstrating his sincere commitment to helping those in need. Never too busy to help, Don made dependability and seizing every opportunity to lend a hand whenever he could not only a priority, but a fundamental in the way he lived his everyday life.
Hard work wasn’t Don’s only defining trait, however. Never one to miss an opportunity to share his distinctive sense of humor, Don had a laugh that could only be described as infectious. Always accompanied by his radiant smile, he had an extraordinary ability to illuminate a room simply through his presence.
Undoubtedly though, it was the family that he had cultivated that served as Don’s most cherished and enduring achievement. Nothing surpassed the sense of pride he derived as he helped mold the lives of his numerous children and grandchildren by not only instilling in them the values by which he lived his life, but by demonstrating these ideals with unfaltering consistency. It is only fitting then that it is for this reason that Don’s influence will live on and be felt for many years to come.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie Kirkpatrick Williams, with whom he shared a marriage of 57 years beginning September 23, 1957. He is also survived by his four children, Margie, Douglas, Rhonda, and Lanna, as well as his grandchildren Shawn Michael, Josh, Chad, Richie, Cody, Zachary, Kristal, Nicole, Dustin, Patrick, Cory, Johnny, Andy, Garrett, Hunter, JoLynn, and Layne. In addition, Don was also the Great Grandfather to 16 great grandchildren. His memory will endure in the hearts of the family and friends always.
