Donna Barber (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Donna Sue Barber, daughter of Melvin and Marie Davis Thompson, was born December 29, 1958 in Blythe, California and departed this life on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Magnolia Square Nursing and Rehabilitation in Springfield, Missouri at the age of fifty-six years, ten months and eleven days.
On June 30, 1977 she was united in marriage to Orville Edward Barber and to this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Orville and Viona Barber; niece, Carol Henry and a nephew, Dale Farris.
Donna is survived by her husband, Ed of the home; daughter, Rachel Salsig and husband, Zachary of Springfield, Missouri; son, Lee Barber and wife, Julia of Butler, Missouri; four grandchildren, Libby Barber, Hayleigh Salsig, Emma Salsig and Luke Barber; four brothers, Tommy Thompson of Glendale, Arizona, Mike Thompson and wife, Betty of Mansfield, Missouri, David Thompson and wife, Jane of Macomb, Missouri and Danny Thompson and wife, Diana of Republic, Missouri; sister, Debbie Clement and husband, Jerry of Mesa, Arizona; three sisters-in-law, Karen Weddle and husband, Wayne of Fordland, Missouri, Cathy Easley and husband, Charlie and Patty Farris and husband, Willie all of Mansfield, Missouri as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was born in California then lived in Phoenix, Arizona until moving to Mansfield with her mom and three brothers in 1973. She graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1977.
She was a devoted wife and homemaker and spent many years travelling with Ed during
his service in the military.
Donna loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.
In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo and going to casinos. She was a very giving person and was always willing to help others.
