Donna Lea Coffer (Seymour)'s Obituary
Donna Lea Whisnant Coffer was born August 19, 1958 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She departed this life Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Glenwood Heathcare in Seymour, Missouri at the age of fifty-eight years, two months, and twenty-nine days.
Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband Jamie, grandparents Pat & Lois Sissell, Leo Whisnant, and a multitude of uncles, aunts and other family members
Donna is survived by her parents, George and Bonnie Pruett of Seymour; one daughter, Trista Coffer of Seymour; one sister Susan Conley and her husband Kenneth (Butch) of Seymour; one brother, Paul Pruett and his wife Lessli of Seymour; two grandchildren, Payton Coffer and Myles Moesner; five nieces and nephews, Christy Harness, Brian Cornelison, Kaylee Turner, Shane Pruett, McKenzie and Kirsten Conley and one great nephew Brighton Terry; and many loving friends.
Donna was born in Mountain Home, Arkansas and began her life in Gainesville, MO. The family moved to Seymour when Donna was in second grade. She attended Seymour Elementary and graduated from Seymour High School in 1976. After she graduated she met Jamie Coffer and two were married on December 26, 1980. To this union their daughter Trista Lea, was born on February 4, 1984. Donna devoted her life to her small family and worked most of her life as a textile laborer.
Donna was very active in the Seymour community and was a faithful member of the Seymour Nazarene Church. She will always be remembered as a good and faithful servant of god as she encouraged others with her precious smile and kind acts of compassion. She was involved in many different ministries at the Seymour Nazarene Church that included the Wednesday Night Meal ministry, the Best Choice Label ministry, the Angel Food ministry and Vacation Bible School. She also helped in the church with things like folding bulletins, singing in the choir, and working the nursery and pre-school ministry
Donna was famous for her no-bake cookies and always satisfied a sweet tooth. She loved riding the OATS bus and assisted other who rode the bus. She loved her friends and family and gave her life to help everyone in need.
Donna was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. We celebrate her life and many accomplishments and will cherish the many happy memories she created.
Memorial donations to the Seymour Nazarene Church Wednesday Night Meal Ministry may be made through the funeral home.
