Donna Jones (Lebanon)'s Obituary
DONNA JEAN JONES
Donna Jean Jones, daughter of Hugh and Maxine Decker Moodie, was born May 25, 1947, in San Jose, California. She departed this life Thursday, July 15, 2010, in the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, in Bettendorf, Iowa, at the age of sixty-three years, one month, and twenty days.
On June 12, 1964, she was united in marriage to Richard Earl Jones, and to this union three daughters were born.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Moodie Hogue; her husband, Richard, on June 8, 2005;her step-father, Delbert Hogue, Sr.; and a half-brother, Delbert Hogue, Jr.
Donna is survived by three daughters, Twyla Wilson, and her husband, Mike of Port Byron, Illinois, Tish Houk, and her husband, Allen, of East Moline, Illinois, and Marie Wise, and her husband, Perry, of Hampton, Illinois; five grandchildren, Breeana and Mitchell Wilson, Kenny Houk, Andrew and Taleigh Wise; a brother, Sonny Moodie, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Diane Wilson, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; a close friend, Pam Horrighs, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in California and then moved with her family to the Lebanon, Missouri area. After she and Richard were married, they made their home in the Silbis, Illinois area, and lovingly raised their family. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Donna worked at a candy manufacturing company for several years. Later, she and Richard retired back to the Lebanon area, and Donna worked at the Hampton Inn.
In her spare time she enjoyed going to casinos, playing bingo, and collecting angels. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Donna was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
