Donna King (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Donna Kay King, daughter of Homer A. and Mary Bell Potter Burchett, was born February 19, 1944, in Greenup, Kentucky. She departed this life Sunday, June 24, 2018, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years, four months, and five days.
On November 25, 1962, she was united in marriage to Charles Larry King, and to this union one daughter and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles, on November 15, 2014; an infant brother; and two sisters, Myra and Carla.
Donna is survived by two sons, Charles L. King, Jr., of Lebanon, Missouri, and David E. King, and his wife, Rachel, of Tallahassee, Florida; a daughter, Angela Nicole King Tucker, and her husband, Steve, of Elkton, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, David Burchett, of Morehead, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Ashland, Kentucky and attended high school there. After she and Charles were married, they made their home in Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, and West Virginia before settling in Lebanon, Missouri for the last twelve years. Through the years, Donna was a devoted homemaker and mother to her family.
Donna had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon.
She was an avid reader and liked watching Fox news. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donna was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Memorial contributions to Hillcrest Baptist Church may be made through the funeral home.
