On October 21, 1989, she was united in marriage to Timothy A. Sherman, and they shared the last twenty-four years.
Her father preceded her in death.
Donna is survived by her husband, Tim, of the home; a son, Timothy Andrew “Andy” Sherman, and his wife, Shasta Mae, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; four grandchildren; her mother, Geneva Knapp, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Larry Knapp, of Fordland, Missouri, and Reuben Knapp, and his wife, Pam, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Pam Lewis, and her husband, Kevin, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Sharon Counts, and her husband, Kenny, of Sikeston, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in various locations as her father was serving in the military. She eventually attended high school in Joplin, Missouri, and then in Lebanon. After she and Tim were married, they made their home in Hartville, Missouri, and Donna worked as a sales associate for the Casey’s General Store. Throughout the years, Donna was also a devoted homemaker and mother. For the last eight years, the family had lived in Lebanon.
Donna professed her faith in Christ early in her life and attended Hillcrest Baptist Church during her younger years. Her faith was very important to her.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and growing houseplants. She also liked taking care of children. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
