Donnie Martley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Donald Eugene Martley, son of Robert P. and Emma Mae Young Martley, was born November 22, 1945, in Kansas City, Kansas. He departed this life Sunday, March 8, 2015, in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years, three months, and fourteen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lloyd Martley; and a sister, Ada Moore.
“Donnie”, as he was called by all his family and friends, is survived by three sisters, Connie Porter, and Peggy Stilts, both of Lebanon, Missouri, and Etta Bell, of Edwardsville, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Wanda Martley, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Kansas and then moved with his family to the Lebanon, Missouri area, where he lived the rest of his life. He graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1965, and then worked for Laclede Industries in Lebanon for a number of years.
Donnie was raised in the Nazarene faith and had attended the Lebanon Church of the Nazarene.
In his spare time he enjoyed square dancing, gardening, and raising beautiful flowers. He also liked listening to gospel music. His family was very important to him and he always enjoyed being around his sisters, nieces and nephews.
Donnie was a loving brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ivey Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
