Dora Jean Moser (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Dora Jean Moser, daughter of Bennie Frank and Emma June Walker Hardy, was born September 30, 1957, in Fort Rucker, Alabama. She departed this Thursday, September 12, 2019, in her home, near Stoutland, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, eleven months, and thirteen days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Bill Hardy.
Dora is survived by two daughters, Jessica Moser, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Kathleen Sherrer, and her husband, Doyle, of Stoutland, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kacen, Karlie and Finn; three brothers, Robert Hardy, of Austin, Texas, Paul Hardy, of Columbia, Missouri, and Brian Hardy, of Denver, Colorado; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Elba, Alabama, and attended school there. She was part of a military family and lived in various places for several years. She eventually attended the University of Missouri – Columbia where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree. She then made her home in the Lebanon area and lovingly raised her daughters. Besides being a devoted homemaker to her family, she also worked at Fort Leonard Wood Hospital and then as a substitute teacher in the Stoutland Schools.
She possessed a quiet personality and was an avid reader. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Dora was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
The Family will be holding a private service at a later date
under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
Burial will be in the Harrill (Simlin) Cemetery near Stoutland, Missouri
