Doris Jean Hembree (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Doris Jean Hembree, age 81, of Camdenton, Missouri, went to be with the Lord and those that had preceded her in death, early Tuesday morning, May 20th, 2014 at her home in Camdenton, surrounded by her loving family.
Doris was born on March 5th, 1933 to James William and Edna Leone (Armstrong) Knickerbocker in Peoria, Illinois. She grew up in Peoria, and attended school there, and was baptized on April 4th, 1946. She met James Hembree, and they were married on June 3rd, 1951, in Peoria. To this union six children were born.
Doris loved raising her children. She was a great cook, a wonderful mother, and a faithful friend. She was a longtime volunteer at Born Again Clothes, in Climax Springs.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James C. Hembree, Sr.; one son, James C. Hembree, Jr.; mother and father in law, Clarence and Edna M. (Root) Hembree; and one brother in law, Harrison Price.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois J Penn, and husband Jay, of Merriam, Kansas; son, Larry Ray Hembree, and wife Carol, of Urich, Missouri; daughter Mary Kay Hembree, of Camdenton, Missouri; son, Donald L. Hembree, of Camdenton, Missouri; son, William H. Hembree, of Camdenton, Missouri; Twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, William Knickerbocker, and wife Mary, of Mesa, Arizona; brother, Robert Knickerbocker, and wife Lois, of Sebring, Florida; brother in law, Lindsey Hembree, and wife Toni, of Camdenton, Missouri; brother in law, Clarence Hembree, and wife Delma, of Kansas City, Kansas; sister in law, Rosalie Price, of Raymore, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
