Doris J. Parr (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Doris Jean Parr, Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, went to heaven at the age of 80 on August 6, 2021. Doris was born September 10, 1940 in Atchison, KS. to Aloysius Peter Weber and Georgia Mary Turner Weber. She grew up in Leavenworth, KS. where she attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and worked at the Battery Factory after graduation. Married to William Wayne Parr on October 17, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Leavenworth, KS where they made their home until moving to Lake of the Ozarks in 1974 to own and operate several resorts over the years. To this union, four children were born and all raised in the Catholic Faith, Ronda Parr Burris, Cynthia Parr Ruehter, Darin Parr and Jason Parr. Doris was a Real Estate Agent and Developer in Leavenworth, KS and in Missouri at Lake of the Ozarks with several businesses that she owned and operated. Doris was also an insurance agent at Naught-Naught Agency for several years until deciding to develop a Mini-Storage Business and a Mastectomy Retail Store that she owned and operated until her retirement.
Doris had a very personal and special relationship with all her children, grandchildren and all her family and friends. She was considered everyone’s best friend and so full of knowledgeable advice and common sense that we all used to get thru our everyday lives. She was a super organized person that lended her help whenever it was needed and had a sense of Humor that was so contagious, you always wanted more. Our Family will cherish all the good times and family gatherings we had over the years together and we will have a difficult time without her, but we will use the Knowledge and Faith of God she gave us to Honor her Legacy with Dignity. Doris will be severely missed by everyone that knew her and we thank God for giving us such a fine person to be our Mother, Grandmother and Best Friend to all. We could not have asked for any better.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Georgia Weber, her husband of 28 years, William Wayne Parr, brother-in-laws Larry Porter and Ted Rea. She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Porter of Texas and Patty Rea of Leavenworth, KS; her daughters Ronda Burris and husband Gary of Sunrise Beach, MO., Cindy Ruehter and husband Steve of Camdenton, MO; her sons Darin Parr of Sunrise Beach, MO., Jason Parr and wife Jessica of Lake Pomme De Terre, MO; 10 grandchildren, Allen Ruehter and wife Jessica of Stover, MO., Lindsay Burris Addis and husband Mike of Warrensburg, MO., Lance Burris and wife Brianna of Lebanon, MO., Krystal Heberer and husband Chad of Camdenton, MO., Luke Burris and wife Theresa of Camdenton, MO., Alec Burris of Sunrise Beach, MO., Tyler Parr of Warrensburg, MO., Haley Parr of Warrensburg, Mo., Billy Parr of Mary's Home, MO., Trenton Parr of Mary's Home, Mo., and 11 great-grandchildren.
