Doris Price (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Doris Charlotte (Struck) Price, of Linn Creek, Missouri. Daughter of William August Struck and Charlotte Christina Buhr. Doris was born April 15, 1934 in Bremer County, Readlyn, Iowa. She departed this life, August 30, 2025, in Linn Creek, Missouri at ninety-one years of age. On June 1, 1952 in Sumner, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Albert H. Price and to this union three children were born. Together they shared seventy years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Albert Hendrix Price, and parents, William and Charlotte Struck. She is survived by her daughter; Bonnie and husband Osiel Lopez, of Linn Creek, Missouri; her sons, Dennis Price of Lebanon, Missouri, and Allen and wife Dianna Price, of Holt Summit, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends. Doris was raised on a farm in Readlyn, Iowa, where she graduated Valedictorian of her class. Throughout her working years, Doris was a participant in the establishment of the Osage Beach Fire Department District, and also worked with them as an EMT Trainer. She then went on to become a U.S. Postal Carrier for ten years. She also worked for Jefferies Abstract and Assessor Property Titles, before finding her true passion, which was buying and selling antiques. Later, Doris went on to open Antique Bottle House, and Hillbilly AL’s Flea Market with her husband. Doris made a profession of faith and was a member of St. John’s American Lutheran Church, in Sumner, Iowa. Doris had many achievements, including the publisher and editor for the Antique Directory, and taking care of her family. Doris was a homestead provider. In her free time, she enjoyed antiques, attending garage sales, gardening, treasure hunting, reading Louis L’Amour books, crocheting, playing solitaire, home cooking, playing board games with her grandchildren, making quilt projects, and providing loving care to her husband. She was a loving and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at Linn Creek Baptist Church, Linn Creek, Missouri. Burial will follow in Percival Cemetery, Linn Creek, Missouri. Visitation will be from 12:00- 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025. at Linn Creek Baptist Church.
