Doris Mariann Smith (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Doris Mariann Smith, daughter of Harley and Thelma Larson, was born April 3, 1946, in Crosby, North Dakota. She departed this life Sunday June 12, 2022, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, from injuries received in an automobile accident, at the age of seventy-six years, two months, and nine days.
On May 25, 1965, she was united in marriage to Gordon Keith Smith, and they shared fifty-seven years of happiness and memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon, a short time after Doris passed away; and seven brothers.
Doris is survived by two brothers, Douglas Larson and his wife Margie of the State of Illinois, and Elton Larson, of the State of Washington; a sister, Beretta Lindell and her husband, George of the State of North Dakota; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in North Dakota. After she and Gordon were married, they made their home in the Lignite, North Dakota community. Through the years, Doris was a devoted homemaker to her husband. She was a talented musician and played the piano and the accordion. She had been the musician in her church for several years. She and Gordon moved to Grovespring, Missouri about twenty- years ago.
She loved animals of all kinds and enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors.
Doris will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of those that knew and loved her.
