Doris Jean Woolsey (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Doris Jean Woolsey, daughter of the late Lannie Monroe and Edith Bell (Martin) Admire, was born on July 27, 1932 in Hartville, MO, and departed this life on September 18, 2025 in Springfield, MO. At the time of her passing she was 93 years, one month, and 20 days of age. Doris was raised and attended school near Hartville, MO. She was united in marriage to Paul Raymond Gann on November 17, 1948 and to this union two children were born, both of whom survive her. She was saved and baptized in April of 1954 and joined the Charity Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member. Doris was a hard worker, always helping on the farm with anything Paul needed. She loved her family and was always there to greet her children when they got home from school. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, and being in the outdoors. She later married Omer Ward and after his passing, she married Earl Woolsey. Doris was a loving mother to her children, her grandchildren and all of her extended family. Doris was preceded in death by her three husbands, Paul Raymond Gann, Omer Ward, and Earl Woolsey; her parents; her siblings, Dennis Admire, Melvin Admire, Ruby Woolsey, and Darlene Dill; and two step-children, Jerry Woolsey and Jerry Ward. She is survived by her children, Harold & wife Gale Gann and his family, Brian & wife Christina Gann and their children, Kayla, Sierra, MacKenzie and ShayLynn and Michelle & husband Tyler Reid and Pauline & husband David Heithold and her family, Rodney & wife Shawna Heithold, Veronica Heithold, Jennifer Comstock, Molly Hopkins, and A.J. & wife Jennifer Heithold, Cale Heithold and family, Elizabeth Heithold, Aiden, Riley, and Gavin Farthing, Madison and family, Isasis, Landan, Sakiya, Jaydence, Ezra, Raeleigh, and Jaymey; and Earl’s children, Linda Dublin and family, Janet Auberry and family, JoAnn Weddle and family, Jacque Walters and family, and Jeffrey Woolsey and family. She also leaves a host of other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025 in the Gann Cemetery with Bro. Dusty Armstrong officiating. Escorts will be Brian Gann, A.J. Heithold, Jeff Woolsey, Carl Gann, Leon Dill, Bruce Dublin, and Garry Gann. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Charity Missionary Baptist Church or the Gann Cemetery.
