On August 6, 1929, she was united in marriage to Forrest Miller Tribble, and to this union four children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Forrest, on December 21, 1977; two brothers, Leland and Clyde Kelly; and three sisters, Fern Harmon, Julina Scott, and Marjorie Wrinkle. Dorotha is survived by three sons, James L. Tribble, of Lenexa, Kansas, Lee A. Tribble, and his wife, Ann, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and John F. Tribble, and his wife, Marsha, of Kansas City, Kansas; a daughter, Catherine Smith, and her husband, Larry, of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandsons, Jim Tribble, of Oak Grove, Missouri, Mike Tribble, and his wife, Jeannie, of Warrensburg, Missouri, Kyle Tribble, and his wife, Viviana, of Corpus Christ, Texas, Jeff Tribble, and his wife, Pam, of Scottsdale, Arizona, Forrest Tribble, and Austin Tribble, both of Buckner, Missouri, and Aaron Tribble, of Blue Springs, Missouri; two granddaughters, Janet Mayhew, and her husband, Steve, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Susan Tribble, of Kansas City, Kansas; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Kelly, and his wife, Reathel, of Creve Coeur, Missouri, and J. She spent the early years of her life in Brice, Missouri, before the family moved to Conway, Missouri, where she graduated from high school in 1929. After Dorotha and Forrest were married, they went to Illinois for a short time and then made their home in Phillipsburg, Missouri. They then lived in Long Lane for a short time before purchasing their farm north of Phillipsburg, in 1940. Throughout the years, Dorotha was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and was active in the children’s school activities. In 1984, she moved to Lebanon, saying she would only stay for the winter and would return to the farm the following spring. She often said that winter never ended as she never returned to live on the farm. Dorotha made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of the Phillipsburg Christian Church. She was a lifetime member of the Laclede County Historical Society, and a charter member of the Route 66 Society. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, and loved traveling, making several long trips through the years. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorotha was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday January 6, 2010 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
