Dorothea McIntosh (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Dorothea McIntosh, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Citizens Memorial Hospital, in Bolivar, at the age of 100 years, four months and one day old. She was born August 22, 1917, in Parsons, Kansas.
She was saved, and was a member of the Old Spring Valley Baptist Church. Dorothea was a retired school teacher, having taught in a one-room school, called Beef-Lick, then Emma-D at Goodson, and finally retired from North Kansas City School Systems after 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry B. and Lucinda (White) Provolt, one brother, Harry, one sister, Susana Hambright.
Survivors include her son, Ted McIntosh, and wife Dot, of Columbia, Tennessee, on sister, Virginia Erven, of Goodson, Missouri, three grandchildren, Scott, Phillip, and Gail, and four great-grandchildren.
